Water Transfer Paper User Guide
1. Prepare your base
Roll out your polymer clay onto a flat surface (tile, glass plate or non-stick surface) using an acrylic roller or a clay machine.
2. Position the pattern
Cut out the part of the transfer paper you need and place it printed side down on the paste.
3. Fix gently
Tap or press lightly with your fingertips to ensure the design adheres well to the surface without wrinkles or air bubbles.
4. Activate the transfer
Moisten the surface of the paper by spraying with clean water or applying a few drops with a damp sponge. Wait a few seconds for the water to soak into the fibers.
5. Remove the paper backing
Rub very gently with your fingers until the paper layer disappears, making sure to leave only the colored illustration on the paste.
6. Let it rest
Once the design is transferred, let it dry for a few moments before cutting out your shapes with cookie cutters or a thin blade.
7. Move on to cooking
Bake your creations according to your usual polymer clay instructions.
8. Enhance your pieces
To enhance the shine and protect the decoration, apply a specific polymer varnish or a thin layer of resin after baking.
💡 Creative tip : If tiny traces of paper remain visible after baking, lightly moisten and rub gently. The pattern will remain intact.
